Dr. Amanda Heineman Named Principal of Helen Estock Elementary School
The Tustin Unified School District has appointed Dr. Amanda Heineman as principal of Helen Estock Elementary School. She will take over on Nov. 5 for Wendy Hudson, who is retiring.
“Amanda has had tremendous success in every role that she’s had in TUSD,” Superintendent Dr. Gregory Franklin said. “She was an outstanding elementary teacher and one of our first Digital Learning Coaches, and is a key member of the Educational Services Department.”
Heineman has worked in public education for 15 years – the past 10 years in TUSD. She currently serves as coordinator of Elementary Curriculum and New Teacher Induction program for the District. Prior to that, she taught at Loma Vista and Peters Canyon elementary schools, served as a Digital Learning Coach and was an ELA/English Language Development (ELD) teacher on special assignment. She also served as principal of the TUSD Elementary Summer School program.
Heineman has a bachelor’s degree in early child education and a master’s degree in educational administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a doctorate of education in K-12 urban leadership from the University of Southern California
“It is an honor to join the students, staff and parents of Estock,” Heineman said. “I’m looking forward to building relationships and working together to empower all learners. I am very excited to become part of the Estock family!”
