Seventh Annual State of the Schools Breakfast Set for September 17
The seventh annual State of the Schools Breakfast will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Foothill High School Event Center, 19251 Dodge Ave., Santa Ana.
The event, co-sponsored by the Tustin Public Schools Foundation and Tustin Unified School District, will celebrate TUSD’s accomplishments and share the District’s challenges and plans for student success.
Superintendent Dr. Gregory Franklin will present the keynote address, “#TUSDThrives.” His topics will include advanced math and science programs, digital storytelling, educational technology, magnet programs, robotics and computer science, connected classrooms, student wellness and facility needs.
In addition, the District’s new video, “Dark Fiber: Future-Proofing the District’s Internet Access,” will be shown and entertainment will be provided by the Foothill High School Choir, under the direction of Chelsea Dehn.
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $45 for VIP (preferred seating and reserved parking). Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
