TUSD Holds “Classified Celebration at the Courtyard” on Monday, May 20

The Tustin Unified School District will hold its third annual “Classified Celebration at the Courtyard” on Monday, May 20, at the District Administration Center, 300 South C St., Tustin. TUSD will recognize school and worksite 2019 Classified School Employees of the Year. A reception will be held at 4:30 p.m., followed by a performance from the C.E. Utt Middle School Choir, under the direction of teacher Kevin Harker. The awards ceremony will begin at 5 p.m.
Each classified honoree will receive the TUSD Bell award and a special surprise. Light food and refreshments will be provided by the TUSD Nutrition Services Department and Tustin High School Kitchen, under the supervision of Jim Kamuran and Jacob Kranich, respectively.
Tustin Unified’s 22nd annual awards program recognizes classified or support services employees whose contributions to TUSD have proven to be outstanding. The District award is given to a classified employee who provides valuable services to schools and staff, contributes to a positive instructional environment, and goes above and beyond their job requirements.
Heritage Elementary School library media technician Honour Del Crognale was named TUSD’s 2019 Classified Employee of the Year and will represent the District at the 2020 Orange County Classified School Employees of the Year Program, sponsored by the Orange County Department of Education.
