Bake to the Future

Here’s a delightful story to gobble up!  Sycamore Magnet Academy recently held a virtual Thanksgiving Family Fun Night for students and families.  Students baked pumpkin muffins, made Thanksgiving wreaths, and participated in storytime.   Above, fifth-grader Laila Dorado is proud of her sweet accomplishment.  Bags of free supplies were distributed to families by the Leadership students on the day of the event via drive-through.   Sycamore Magnet Academy teacher Zachariah Samarin led the baking class.  During storytime, Samarin and teacher Katie Correia read the books, “Back to the Future” and “Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving,” respectively.  Library media technician Helen Welch coordinated the Thanksgiving wreath project.   Students cut out leaves and wrote what they were grateful for on their wreath.  We are so thankful for our wonderful students, staff, and parents.  It doesn’t get any butter than this.  Happy Thanksgiving!
