Dr. Kristin Hartloff Named Assistant Principal at Foothill High School

The Tustin Unified School District has appointed Dr. Kristin Hartloff as assistant principal at Foothill High School. She will take over for Michelle England, who became principal of the school.
“Kristin has proven herself as a vital member of the Educational Services team and will do a great job at Foothill,” Superintendent Dr. Gregory Franklin said.
Hartloff has worked in public education for 17 years – the past five years in TUSD. She currently serves as curriculum coordinator, grades K-12, in the Educational Services Department at the District Administration Center. She also oversees the elementary music program. Prior to that, she was a teacher on special assignment in math and science for grades K-12. Hartloff started her career as a teacher and instructional coach in the Garden Grove Unified School District.
Hartloff has a bachelor’s degree from Chapman University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from California State University, Fullerton, and a doctorate in educational leadership from California State University, Fullerton.
Among her achievements, Hartloff served as TUSD summer school principal, coordinated the TUSD Summer Institute for teachers and currently serves on the Executive Board of the California Math Council,Southern Region.
“It is an honor to join the students, staff and parents of Foothill High School,” Hartloff said. “I look forward to serving this wonderful community so that all students have a high school experience that allows them to thrive!”
